In an earlier article, we looked at some of the things that you need to take into consideration when remodeling your master bathroom. We said that you need to take time to consider all your options, because once you start ripping out the old fittings, you are committed. Therefore, you need to be absolutely certain that you have got it right. Remember that remodeling a master bathroom is not going to be a cheap exercise, and once it is done, it’s done. Unless you have unlimited funds, you are not going to be able to start over.
Here are some more things to consider.
If you like to soak in the tub, you can now get the latest innovations that come with heated air jets that let you have warmth and bubbles. They are fast replacing the old Jacuzzi.
Showers are also becoming a bathroom feature in the 21st century. No longer are they simply a place to stand and get clean. You can now get showers that include rain shower heads, multiple shower heads, hand showers, body sprays, soft lighting, and comfortable seating. In effect, you can just sit and relax in warm rain, which is no bad thing at all.
Heated floors are not actually a must, but once you have experienced them you will say that they are. They don’t have to cost a fortune, either. There is nothing like stepping out of the shower or tub on to a warm tiled floor, believe us.
What about lighting? You may want lighting with a dimmer switch to allow you to relax in comfort after a hard day at the office, but that is bright enough to highlight you when you just need a quick wash and brush up before going to work.
Sink vanities come in a huge range of styles and designs. The type that you choose will depend on the use of the bathroom. If two people regularly use it at the same time, you may want two single sink vanities, or perhaps a double with a shelving unit between the two sinks, which gives more privacy. Under-mounted sinks look cool, and make cleaning the countertop a breeze.
The Wyndham Collection, which we are proud to offer to our customers, has over 1,200 different types and styles of sink vanity, so whatever the design of your master bathroom, ultra-modern or more traditional, you are bound to find something here that will appeal to you. A Separate Toilet
Another very good idea is to have a separate toilet room. Using a separate space behind a closed door, gives more privacy and makes everyone feel more secure, especially when the master bathroom is used by two people at the same time. If space allows, an extra sink vanity here would be welcome.
Depending on space, you can have an upholstered chair, or love seat, a magazine rack, and a TV or surround sound stereo system. Heated towel rails are also a great idea. They use little electricity, but dry out your towels in a very short time.
