Give your bathroom design a boost with a little planning and a few bathroom ideas. Whether you're looking for bathroom remodeling ideas or bathroom pictures to help you update your old one start with these inspiring ideas. Get a fresh start by revising a layout, remodeling a small bathroom to add storage, or replacing fixtures. If cost is a concern, try one of our budget updates to spruce up your space without breaking the bank.
The first decision is to decide how much of the remodeling you need…. Sometimes we can replace the vanity and a fresh coat of paint and the bathroom looks brand new. If your vanity needs replacement, add new lighting fixtures and the entire bathroom is recreated.
Measure carefully…. It is always nice to use as much space as you can. There is a huge variety of bathroom vanities and the price range is just a big. We recommend buying a good quality cabinet with a good quality top. That investment will last longer.
The vanities come in a variety of materials from MDF to solid wood. Many have lots of bells and whistles, such a self closing doors and drawers. These features are not necessary to have a good quality cabinet. Make sure you have easy, large drawer guides and good size hinges for the doors.
The counter tops also come in a variety of materials. Most popular today are quartz, granite, porcelain and marble. Porcelain often has an integrated sink, which is a nice feature for cleaning…no grooves at all!
You’ve made the decision to remodel your bathroom, now what?
Plan, plan, plan and make sure you get it right!!
Starting a bathroom remodel is scary, exciting, and nerve racking, but it is all worth it in the end! And a well thought out (but, flexible) plan will keep things moving and ensure that you have the bathroom of your dreams.
Don’t forget that improving bathrooms always escalates the value of your home. If you are remodeling with that in mind, make sure you don’t do anything too trendy. Keep it clean and simple so that your remodel appeals to a vast majority of home buyers. From experience, I have found that most people prefer double sinks in the master bathroom whenever possible. They also prefer small cabinets over pedestals in the powder room
